This new role will report directly to the Data Manager and will play a crucial part in supporting day-to-day data-related tasks within the organization.
The candidate will be primarily responsible for maintaining the Power BI estate, developing new reports and dashboards, reviewing report consumption, and identifying opportunities for model improvements. Additionally, they will collaborate with other departments to understand their reporting needs, gather requirements, and extract the necessary data to fulfil those needs.
The Junior Power BI Developer will liaise with all levels within the business to extract requirements effectively and work closely with the Data Manager to provide appropriate solutions. This role will require strong communication skills to interact with stakeholders across various departments and levels of the organization.
The candidate will be expected to work independently, demonstrate initiative in problem-solving, and consistently deliver high-quality work within established deadlines. They will actively contribute to the enhancement of data-driven decision-making processes and support the organization’s overall data strategy.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and enhance Power BI reports and dashboards to visualize key business metrics and trends.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into actionable data solutions.
- Utilize SQL skills to extract and manipulate data from MySQL databases and other sources as needed.
- Analyse complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive business decisions.
- Assist in the design and implementation of data models to support reporting and analytics requirements.
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security through proper data governance practices.
- Communicate findings and insights effectively to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Manage own workload effectively, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines consistently.
- Demonstrate a high level of independence and initiative in problem-solving and decision-making.
Key Attributes:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or related field, or equivalent practical work experience.
- Proficiency in Power BI development, including report creation, dashboard design, and DAX calculations.
- Strong SQL skills with experience working with MySQL databases; familiarity with other database systems is a plus.
- Experience with Snowflake data platform is desirable.
- Solid understanding of data analysis techniques and methodologies.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with stakeholders effectively.
- High level of attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
