Job Purpose

To assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of effective and accurate management information (MI) solutions for:

  • The North East Ambition Contract
  • Other programmes operated by:
    • Education Development Trust (Careers)
    • The wider Trust

Job Objectives

  1. Act as a first-line technical liaison between:
    • Customers of systems and reports (internal and external)
    • The development team
  2. Perform System Administrator and Superuser duties for in-house and external systems, including:
    • Delivering training
    • Producing training guides and resources
  3. Design, manage, and coordinate testing (manual and automated) to prevent production issues.
  4. Monitor systems and reports managed by the development team and diagnose issues prior to repair.
  5. Design, document, and implement minor system and report fixes.
  6. Document more complex issues and communicate them to the Senior Developer, collaborating on solutions.
  7. Investigate potential optimisations for systems and reports and collaborate with the Senior Developer to implement improvements.
  8. Ensure contract compliance of MI systems across all contracts and programmes, including:
    • Data protection
    • Security requirements
  9. Act as a contact point for system development and issues, including liaison with:
    • External software providers
    • Funders
    • Education Development Trust IT department
  10. Ensure all work is completed and documented in accordance with:
  • Required standards
  • Methods
  • Procedures
  • Configuration management processes
  1. Adhere to local and corporate safeguarding policies and procedures aimed at promoting and safeguarding the welfare of:
