About the job
The junior software engineer role will contribute the design, delivery, testing, and support of a broad range of technology systems and services, both client and colleague facing.
Personal and professional growth is paramount and as such, the role will take on several key responsibilities with the aim of providing hands-on experience of a broad spectrum of processes and technologies. The role will work closely with senior members of the team on a day-to-day basis and will be 100% hands-on.
Responsibilities
- Delivering small change initiatives
- Writing, testing, and deploying fixes to production defects, as well as triage and escalation of support tickets
- Testing of defect fixes, small changes, and larger “project” change initiatives
- Contributing to the build and maintenance of the automated test framework
- Analysing, testing and executing data migrations for newly acquired firms
- Contributing to regular scrum ceremonies and continuous improvement initiatives

- Collaborative in nature and enjoys working with others
- Exposure to Microsoft Azure, VB.NET, C# .net core, SQL, Testing Frameworks, Web development technologies inc. React Native, ASP.NET MVC
- Appreciation of agile delivery (Scrum), CI/CD practices, software engineering best practices
